Evoshield A150 Wrist Guard

got one for my son as he moves up to the next division where the kids pitch to each other - lots of kids get beaned by wild pitches while they're learning how to pitch. thought these would compliment the evoshield shirt nicely so he doesn't get hurt too badly.

found out that by reversing it and wearing it with the pad inside his wrist, it can also help protect against getting hit on the wrist by bad hops or by wild pitches when catching (again, the kids are just learning how to pitch). it's saved him from a couple of bruises trying to dig pitches out of the dirt that hopped up higher than expected.

son doesn't seem to mind that the neoprene sleeve gets hot, he can wear them all day for a double-header. we just rinse them out and wash them afterwards and they're dried out and good to go overnight.

Pros: fits well, pad molds quickly and is comfortable. can be worn with the pad facing inwards for protection against bad hops or bad pitches (while catching). washable - the neoprene can get stinky after a double-header.

I was impressed with the company. I had ordered a size that was to small. (MY FAULT). I called the company and they didn't hassle me or make me feel bad . They immediately gave me instructions on how to return it - for free- and they sent out the correct size very quickly.

I will be sure to tell my friends about this company. By the way I got the wrist guard for playing ultimate frisbee. These products can be used for more than baseball. :-)

I use this at the NCAA DIII level and it is a good product. The moldable shell makes for a comfortable fit on any player (we have guys 5-4 to 6-8.) I use this product on players who have sustained wrist or forearm injuries for added protection while batting. I think it would be useful for a catcher who has a particularly wild pitcher or is new to the game.

I have never had a problem ordering with Baseball Rampage, they have a nice selection and good shipping options.

Pros: The "gel-to-shell" works great and is preferred by my players over a pre-set shell. I find injured players are more likely to wear this over anything else we have tried. Durable!

Cons: Neoprene will get hot. The tag says to hand-wash and air dry only.(although I have machine washed (cold) without incident.) If you have access to ozone sanitation it will take the smell out.

I bought this because I am a 14 Year old catcher on my senior leauge team....i wanted this for wild pitches and it ha already been hit 30+ times with no pain
